The Iyengar Yoga Method
The Iyengar method is the most wholesome yoga methods, classes are taught in the Henley Practice studio. Each person is unique so alignment means finding the position that enhances the benefits of the poses in your body. It is progressive and paced in such a way as to make poses available to everyone according to their own capacity and need. It is a very refined and developed yoga postural practice. The repertoire of poses is absolutely vast; no two classes are the same!
Class Descriptions
Active yoga
A faster paced yoga class that involves quick transitions by jumping or rolling between poses in a series of sequences.
General yoga
Students of all levels are welcome to join these classes. The classes include a mixture of basic as well as more advanced poses depending on the attendees’ level of understanding.

Beginners yoga
A class for those who are new to yoga or for those students who are out of practice as they have not practiced for a while. Basic yoga postures (asanas) are taught to develop strength, stamina and flexibility, and they’re suitable for any age group. Class sequences will also include seated poses, chest opening poses, inversions as well as more restful poses. Those with other yoga experience are advised to join a general yoga class.

Gentle mixed abilities yoga
A slower paced class for people of all levels, including beginners. Basic yoga postures (asanas) are taught that are suitable for any age group.

Restorative yoga (monthly)
A class of gentle stretches for shoulders, hips, knees and backs. This is a lovely class to restore your nervous energy, feel relaxed and energised. It is a real boost for the immune system, relaxation with moments of introspection. This class offers the space and conditions for people to find peace and quiet within. This class will be taught on the last Tuesday of every month.

Henley Practice studio
The Henley Practice studio offers a safe, welcoming space for students to deepen their yoga practice as they sharpen their awareness in the poses. A consistent yoga practice will reap rewards that will embed bodies and minds on and off the mat.
The studio is fully equipped with yoga props such as mats, blocks, blankets, belts, chairs and bolsters. The studio is conveniently situated in the centre of Henley in the Oast House in Greys Road car park.
Pricing Structure
To maximise the benefits of yoga to your body and mind a regular yoga practice of at least two classes per week is recommended.

Studio etiquette
Before the class
Be on time - arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class; place your mat and settle
Be comfortable – this is a barefoot studio so remove outdoor shoes when you enter the studio
Be mindful - leave all food and drink outside the studio to avoid spillages
Be present– disconnect & leave your phone with your personal belongings outside the room and on silent.
Be prepared - arrive hydrated and with an empty stomach.
Be aware - it is your responsibility to inform the teacher if you are pregnant or have any injuries before class.
Be equipped - the studio is well-equipped however you may bring your own if preferred.
